Tell us about yourself and the Meet Me in Napa Podcast?

I’ve lived in Napa for almost five years, and creating a podcast has been something I’ve always wanted to do. Growing up in church, I was drawn to public speaking and always imagined myself as a radio or talk show host. The idea for Meet Me in Napa came to me at Olde Town Barbershop, where I’d hear incredible stories from locals and visitors alike — everyone from Hollywood stars to everyday people. I realized Napa lacked a media hub that captured these voices, so I created a platform to do just that.

What’s your favorite part about your job?

My coworkers strike the perfect balance between professionalism and creating a relaxed atmosphere in the shop. The barbershop has become more than just a place for haircuts; it’s where meaningful conversations happen. Through the barber chair, I’ve connected with the community in a deeper, more intimate way than I ever imagined.

What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

Lately, most of my free time is spent working on podcast content, juggling social media (and, let’s be honest, sometimes just scrolling too long), and spending quality time with my family. It’s a constant balancing act, but all of it fuels my vision.

What was the best vacation you ever took and why?

For my honeymoon, I traveled to Europe and Asia.

Where’s the next place on your travel bucket list and why?

Africa! I want to see the motherland.

What are your hobbies, and how did you get into them?

Lately, I’ve been building my record collection and exploring the world of wine. Growing up, I was always fascinated by my uncle’s record collection, which inspired me to curate my own. As for wine, my passion for it really took off after moving to Napa. Being in the valley, I’m constantly drawn to the local culture, the stories behind the bottles, and the craftsmanship in every glass.

What was the last book you read?

Quincy Jones’s “12 Notes: On Life and Creativity.”

What is your favorite movie?

“Mo’ Better Blues.”

What was the last TV show you binge-watched?

“Game of Thrones.”

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Peach cobbler.

What’s your favorite quote from a TV show/movie/book?

“Have ya paid your dues, Jack?” “Yessir, the check is in the mail.”
- Big Trouble in Little China

What’s one thing that can instantly make your day better?

Driving up the 29 looking at the hills and vineyards.

How do you take your coffee?

Naysayers!!!

What’s your favorite way to unwind?

Lay on the couch endlessly search for a show while falling asleep.

What causes are you passionate about?

Misplaced youth and homelessness.

Who do you most like spending time with and why?

My kids, cause I know when they get older, they’ll be on their own journey in life.

Do you have any hidden talents?

My ability to connect with people across all levels of life.
