Cocoa & Pink is a line of retail spa products that pampers women, while a wholesale side of the business is geared toward their pooches with organic munchies.

Cocoa & Pink’s recently launched business sells spa products for women that are available through several Napa Valley retailers. The canine goodies segment is a wholesale line of 100 percent organic doggie munchies from Organic Doggie Kitchen.
Cocoa & Pink’s owner, Stephanie Carrier, said she anticipates already expanding her spa products and essentials for women to include accessories and clothing sometime in the spring.

Cocoa & Pink offers sugar scrubs and body crèmes named after rescue animals she has had throughout the years.
One of her products, Zoe’s Vineyard, is dedicated to Carrier’s first rescued Pomeranian. Another spa product, Bellalicious, is the name of her current rescue dog. And, there is Zoe’s Vineyard Cabernet Body Scrub, which Carrier describes as maximizing every sense of being in the Napa Valley. Its fruity pleasurable scent will leave a smooth finish, she added. Or maybe pick up Cocoa & Pink’s Bellalicious Aloe and Clover Body Creme — it’s a chance to indulge the senses and soak up the all natural aloe clover creme.

Right now, the women’s spa products and doggie treats share a common Web site. But in January, Cocoa & Pink hopes to give each their separate sites — possibly linked to each other, Carrier said.

A portion of Cocoa & Pink profits go to pet rescue organizations and the Napa Humane Society.

“Rescue has always been a passion of mine so this is my way of giving back and helping those animals in need,” she said.

What is the story behind the name Cocoa & Pink? “Everybody asks me that ... I love the colors. Cocoa and pink is something people seem to remember. It’s a catchy name.” It goes back several years when she had a rescue dog named Cocoa.

“I wanted to do something wonderful and help make some money for non-profits,” said Carrier, of her effort to donate to animal rescue shelters and Napa Humane.

Carrier grew up in the Napa Valley and her line of products are inspired by the Napa Valley. “So far, there has been a positive response to our products, even in these down times. Retailers are pricing the products reasonably,” Carrier said.

Cocoa & Pink spa products can be purchased at Exertec Fitness, 1500 Main St., Napa; Browns Valley Market, 3263 Browns Valley Road, Napa; La Rouge Hair Skin & Nail, 1554 Silverado Trail, Napa; and Bellezza, 1228 Main St., St. Helena.

The company has been a year in the making and was launched officially during the Oct. 4 Cajun Festival, in downtown Napa.

Carrier is also planning a newsletter of up and coming Cocoa & Pink events. The public can go to the Web site to sign up.
